In The Valley

While we are in the valley,
if God didn't hold our hand,
we'd wallow there in misery
and never understand
that without those dreary valleys
to contrast with the rest,
we might not even realize
that God's love is the very best. 

He lets us have those valleys
so lessons can be learned.
While climbing up the mountainside,
we'll know the top's been earned.
So if you're in the valley,
look up and never stop.
God's sun is always shining
upon the mountain top!
